The Broncos make the 6.5 mile trip to take on the Commodores of Tates Creek. The Broncos and Commodores are both coming off opening season wins. Tates Creek defeated Mercer County 28-21 and the Broncos running clocked the Defenders of Bryan Station 52-7. The Broncos defense was totally dominate last Friday night holding Bryan Station to only 78 total yards and 3 turnovers.

The Douglass offense was lead by QB Cole Carpenter who threw for 108 yards and two touchdowns. Senior WR Cameron Dunn had 4 catches for 75 yards and a touchdown. University of Kentucky signee Ty Bryant had two touchdowns one rushing one and also a 75 yard punt return for a touchdown.

Tates Creek has not posted any stats of the game yet on the KHSAA web site. Their offense had 329 total yards and their defense allowed 427 total yards they did give 260 yards of rushing to the Titans. The Commodores are lead on offense by QB Theo Jones, running back Laquan Newby and wide-receivers Thomas Siegler and Keshon Douthitt.

This is the 6th time that Douglass and Tates Creek have played. The Broncos lead the series 5-0 by a total of 244-71 with 4 of the 5 games being a running clock. I think once again the Douglass team is just to strong for the Commodores and will probably have another running clock.

FCPS bloodbath #2 coming up.

FD gets running clock.

Unfortunately another Lexington game that is not worth watching.

Douglass by as much as they want. Tates Creek looks improved over last year but not enough to hang with FD.

For some reason the game is not on NFHS Network.

Went on and drove over to the game. Douglass leads 36-0 running clock with still 5:32 left in the 2nd quarter.

Ouch!

Douglass leads 36-8 at halftime.

Touchdown Tates Creek! And 2 pt conversion! By FCPS standards,  we have a game! And it's the half. 36-8 FDHS.

Commodores sideline feels like its 36-28 lol. Their kids have heart!

Douglass is wearing their green pants tonight compliments of “The U” Miami University.

Douglass get the ball and on first play score again on pass reception by Cameron Dunn. The extra point is good and with 10:30 left in the 3rd quarter Douglass leads 43-8.

Douglass scores on their 2nd possession of the quarter could see who made 40 yard run the extra point is good and with 1:39 left in the third quarter Douglass now leads 50-8
