6A #3 Male travels to 6A #8 Ballard at 7:00

Male is coming off a 42-7 win over Floyd Central (IN). Male's Daniel Swinney who is the best running back in the state and was on the BluegrassPreps All-Stae Team sliced and diced the Floyd Central defense from highlights I saw. The Male defense also dominated the Highlanders.

Ballard is coming off a 22-0 win over Hopkinsville where the defense dominated and was led by sophomore LB Amarion Atkinson with 9 tackles with 2 for a loss. The Ballard offense did all their damage on the ground as they passed the ball 5 times and had 162 yards rushing by committee with QB Tristan Hawkins leading the way with 54 yards.

Last year, Male won 51-14

Can Ballard's defense slow down Male's RB Daniel Swinney to get the win or does the Bulldogs get their 11th straight win against the Bruins?

Same thing every year for me with Ballard... I'm sure they'll have a good team. But until they beat one of the Big 3 (or 4 if you count Manual), it doesn't really matter. 

This game should be more of the same. Male wins. 

I think it has the potential to be a more competitive game this year, but Male still wins.

I think it can be closer Tank, but Ballard only scored 22 on Hoptown.

That's where I'm at. If you only score 22 against Hopkinsville then how do you manufacture points against a better defense that Male has.

9 of those 22 points came on punt miscues by Hopkinsville, a bad snap that led to Ballard starting on Hopkinsville’s 2 yard line and the punter stepping out of the back of the end zone for another 2 points.

I watched Ballard in a scrimmage.  I know scrimmages can be misleading for various reasons, but I still thinks Male walks on them.

Depends on if Male puts in their backups or not.  I’m going with yes they will.  Ballard has no identity on offense.  That’s their issue.  Sad because they have talent.
