If on the cover I could see John choking on a 16 oz. center cut from Outback right now, or maybe even setting up pneumonia from inhaling too much, "Boom!", Tough acting Tinactin.

Is this a joke, any time a guy is setting NFL records, while leading his team to the playoffs with an OUTSTANDING record, chances are he's gonna get MVP, especially sense no one else even came close.

Congrats to LT. Much deserved award.

How Close was Brees?

He was only forty votes away.....................out of fifty possible. Whether you call that close or not is up to you. :D

This was a no brainer. LT had a season that seperated him from all others in the league. Very deserving award and just one of many if he avoids injury.

Exactly. There is no way that this vote should not be unanimous....also, if I were LT I would refuse to be on the cover of Madden next year.

If he does, I'm definitely picking LJ with any #1 pick I might have in fantasy football...

6 voters need removed from the process...

You could make a strong, strong case for Brees. Not for Peyton.

I would have voted for LT but understand the argument for Brees.

What all time records did Brees shatter? In most years, he's the MVP. Not in this one. Not even close...

LT won Offensive Player of the Year with 38 out of 50 votes Drew Brees was next with eight, followed by Indianapolis QB Peyton Manning with three and St. Louis RB Steven Jackson with one.

Sports Guy had a great line on why they should just go ahead and give it to LJ because Herm has used him so much there is no way he stays healthy next year...

I was just thinking about that the other day. I think I saw somewhere he nearly broke the record for most carries in a season. I seem to remember an Atlanta RB that did that and shortly after feel off the map.

He broke it in the final game. The old record was 410 by Jamal Anderson...

I thought so.:thumb: FYI I knew who it was just making it sound more interesting.

LT was also the last defensive player to win NFL MVP. Think about it.
