Huge showdown at The Fieldhouse Thursday night sees the host Royals tangle with upstart Bracken County with the 39th District Crown on the line.

Mason County enters on a 4-game winning streak and remains undefeated on the season vs. Region & District opponents.  Of course, the Royals and Polar Bears did not meet in the regular season.

Bracken County is enjoying one of the best seasons in many years, sporting a 22-8 record.  Adam Reed's Bears have lost 2 of their last 4, but both games against state powers George Rogers Clark & Ashland.

These two, in my opinion, are accurately ranked at #2 & #3 in the region, respectively.

Who do you see winning?

I expect this to be a heated dogfight.  Two well-coached teams with All-Region performers on both sides.  Gun to my head, I've got the Royals by 3.

Okay, I’ll go with Bracken, then.

Go walk laps at the mall or something.

Peeking in from the curtain from 9th to the 10th, I'm seeing the Reed brothers create magic for the Big 'W'.

Look at brooksville sandbagging in the poll. :classic_laugh:

It’s been a very long time since these two got together and it could be said it could go either way. Should be a very intense matchup. It’s typically asked how one can deal with the Royals’ defense. But this time around how can they deal with the Polar Bears all out chaos on defense? This is easily the best championship game matchup in the region and it’s being played at the Fieldhouse, the heart of 10th region basketball.

LOL!

Make no mistake...I'm rooting hard for Bracken.  But when I pick games, I go with what I think will happen & not what I want to happen.

I expect a high pace, physical game. I'm going to go with Mason by 8. I'm taking experience and what I think is the better team. Mason has plenty of ball handlers to handle the Bracken D IMO.

I'll take Bracken in this one, barely.
