So exact same schedule as last year when they went 1-10, with only win against NCC.  Closest loss was a 13 pt loss to GRC.

Camel Nation:  you think you can flip any of these games over to a win column this year?  I know you have a lot of young talent moving up another year on the experience chart.

Did any of these teams on the schedule graduate a TON of talent to help the Camels cause of maybe winning some more?

Got my fingers crossed for BW to turn this thing around (except for his Sep 2nd game)!

That's a good schedule. Will be tough no matter the coach or players. Must be second year of home and home with Woodford County and Corbin. Campbell is not an instant fix but will improve with time.

I like this schedule for the Camels, I think it is about as good as it gets.

With the right coaching this job can be a quick fix. Current Sophomore and Freshman classes are a solid group. Can’t wait to see the difference. Program can only go in one direction. That’s up.

Those freshmen and sophomores need a little time to physically mature. Big difference between 15 year olds and 18 year olds. Good luck to the Camel's!

Want wins in Campbell county?  BW needs to fire and start over with complete staff. That’s how it needs to start.

I don’t see very many winnable games for the Camels this year. Hopefully next schedule cycle they add some local competitive teams such as Bishop Brossart, Walton Verona, Scott. Best of luck to Coach BW and the Camels moving forward.

Exactly, that was my 2 step process when this job opened:

1. HIre BW

2. revise schedule as soon as possible

Unfortunately, with the 2 year schedule cycle this year is going to hurt.....

Maybe even a scrimmage with any of these 3 schools. That’s a start.

So a 6A schedules a 1A, 2A, and 4A? Why would those schools do that? That's why there are classes(Six!) in football right? Maybe Scott....but the numbers just don't make sense.

1A schools playing 6A schools is not unheard of in Kentucky. Also from a school like Bishop Brossart’s perspective, a potential win against a 6A school is great for the RPI; and on the flip-side Campbell County will be more than willing to play a smaller school in an attempt to play more competitive games. I personally would look at that game as an excellent opportunity from both sides.

I agree with the sentiment from everyone here though. For BW to get this train rolling he has to find a way to get some wins… A few schedule changes would be an excellent first step.

In 2020, a Campbell County team that went 2-6 beat Pikeville who at the time was ranked #1 in 1A. Small school teams that are not in the championship hunt are not going to schedule 6A Campbell County. RPI only helps smaller schools if they win. Campbell would beat 90+% of the teams in 1A, 2A and 3A on a yearly basis so the only incentive for smaller schools to play Campbell is if they know they can win. Most cannot win and likely wouldn't even be competitive.

The only way for Campbell County to "schedule wins" is to play bad similar sized schools, but those schools are also trying to schedule wins. There is no reason why Campbell County shouldn't be competitive with their current schedule every year and win at least 50% of the time against most of those school. Campbell has a history of beating all of the schools on their schedule in the recent past. They will not be able to schedule wins as some are alluding to. The only option is to get better.

8/5   at Beechwood  (scrim)  7:30p

8/12 vs. Boone County (scrim)  7p

The Camels are including Yoga as a part of their summer football program.
