January 2, 200719 yr If I were GM, Carson Palmer would be the only "untouchable" on my roster. I wouldn't necessarily go out looking to trade Chad or Rudi, but if the price was right, I wouldn't rule it out. Rudi is good, but not great, IMO. I don't think it would be that hard to replace him...you might suffer in the short term (year one), but could possibly be better off past that. Chad is a great receiver and one I would prefer to keep, but the Bengals have good depth there, so losing him wouldn't leave them scrambling for someone to catch the ball and Chad is the one who would command the most trade value. Chris Henry has huge potential for sure, but he isn't going to warrant a lot of trade value... I don't see the Bengals making any major moves. I just posted that as a what if scenario...

January 2, 200719 yr Somebody mentioned that Roy Williams is the most overrated defensive player in the league. That may be, but that is exactly what the Bengals are missing. If Cincy had somebody like Roy Williams or Rodney Harrison on D, they would have been a different team. Obviously the safety position is not the biggest weakness, but an enforcer somewhere, ANYWHERE, on D is what was lacking. I'd prefer that to be at the linebacker position, but anywhere would help. The Cincinnati D lacked the attitude that separates the boys from the men.

January 3, 200719 yr Would you have thought the Broncos would trade Clinton Portis several years back? And yet they did and that turned out to be great in getting Champ Bailey. The Broncos knew they could put almost anybody in their backfield and be effective.
