January 2, 200719 yr My friends and I were actually having a similar conversation yesterday before the game. If the Bengals had to get rid of one of their receivers to improve the defense, it has to be Chad. Think about it, TJ is the guy you go to when you absolutely have to have the catch. He rarely ever drops one that he gets his hands on. Henry has way too much God-given talent to trade. The guy is the next Randy Moss. Chad may be the most enjoyable to watch, but he honestly would be the best decision if are set on trading one of them. If he were to get traded, I would trade him for a young CB who can take on a starting role immediately.

January 2, 200719 yr Why does Miami need an RB? What is Ronnie Brown? I think its tough to move any of those major pieces, but something has to be done to the D. How much can Chris Perry get you? I think you have to consider what Henry can get you, and maybe Chad. They are a similar type of threat, but obviously Henry wont get you quite what Chad can. Its a tough one but something does have to be done about the D and the discipline of the players that have been getting in trouble and causing distractions.

He can deliver a big hit (and/or horsecollar) but he can't cover anybody. The Bengals secondary doesn't seem to be the obvious weakness on the defense, the front seven needs help.
January 2, 200719 yr The Bengals need help at linebacker. I think Donnie Edwards at San Diego is going to be available. Donnie is old, but he still leads the Chargers defense in tackles and he is one of the better drop-coverage middle linebackers in the league. He is in his last 2-3 years so I think the price could be right. He is also a proven clubhouse leader, something the Bengals are desperate for right now. The Chargers also need another wide receiver. I have also heard that Ashanti Samuel at New England may be looking for another contract. The Patriots could use some support at wide receiver, so any of the Bengal receivers could be dangled.

January 2, 200719 yr The Bengals need the coaching staff to re-evaluate the entire team and get rid of anyone who is causing them play so inconsistently or causing distractions in the locker room and off the field, even if that means getting rid of a Chad Johnson or whoever it may be. Most of the players in that locker room need to toughen up if we want to play at the elite level because we do have the talent it's just a few egos that are bringing Cincy down. No way Rudi or Carson are going anywhere. That would be insane, they along with Willie are the core of what is left of this team.
