Tony Love is a class act. He's the kind of man you want influencing your son. That's as great a compliment as any that could be paid to his ability to coach football, which is something he has in abundance. He restored some luster to Ashland football and is leaving the program in great shape. It'll be interesting to see what he gets into next.

It wasn’t until the article came out that everyone knew for sure he wasn’t coming back. Guess we’ll see soon enough which way Ashland goes towards their next HC

Anything new on the Ashland job

Sorry haven’t kept up with where they’re at, me and brother had our aunt pass in October and then mom passed on December 18th and we had her funeral a week ago Wednesday. Talked to Tony for about 20 minutes at the funeral and if he knew anything he wasn’t saying.

I’m hearing Chad Pennington applied. His son is going to Marshall.

Chad could have been the coach at Marshall… he’s also had 2 younger sons. He not moving his boys out of a school that cost 25k per year to be going to Ashland. May be wrong…. Just would not bet on it.

Pennington really going to give/ sell his property in Woodford Co? He has land and uses for outdoor workouts and I believe he built a small version indoor facility for his team to have indoor workout.

Pretty sure he has a place that’s a multi million dollar home. Not a ton of those in Ashland proper.

If he can buy a house in Woodford County he can buy a house in Ashland. Just a wild guess.

Exactly my thought, and if he does have time to watch his kid at Huntington, that’s only a 2.5 hrs drive from Versailles. If anything, Chad will stay local and apply for a nearby HC opening or just stay at Sayre.. just my thought.

I’d stay at Sayre, he can literally do what ever he wants. No pressure, no superintendent, no principal problems. No fan problems. No kid problems. No pressure to win.
