Greenwood 88 North Laurel 76

Featured Replies

Gators with the upset win tonight.  Sheppard with 36 points, almost matched by Greenwood's Stinnett who had 33.

What would you call it?

I think you're right.  North Laurel lost all 3 of their games last year in the month of March.  Got smacked by Ashland (by 20) and Lexington Catholic (by 32), then Knox Central plowed them in the Regional finals (by 15).

Greenwood is a Top 15ish team.  I think North Laurel is around that same level, or even a bit lower.

Greenwood is one of the best if not the best team in the 4th region.

Greenwood plays at Scott this year I think.

They are the best in the 4th, at least at this point. But that still doesn’t make this not an upset.

Great win for Greenwood, but I'm not convinced this is anything but what the score indicates - a great game between two evenly-matched teams.

I did not see this game, but I 've seen both teams play and I would give the nod to Greenwood as the better team.

I am not sure about how both teams stack up against each other.  But I would not really count this as an upset.  We all know about Reed.  But what most do not know is that Cade Stinnett is a Bona Fide All State player.  My son has played AAU ball with him on Manimal and I have watched him many times.  No doubt Cade is one of a kind.  Hard nosed, energetic, smart, scorer, defender with a top notch all around game.  He is a throwback type of player.  Not fancy, but game results will show top notch numbers.  He is a Coaches' dream.  Continue to watch this kid and his team going forward into the season.  But more than that, he is a tremendous kid who does everything the right way.  A leader on and off the court.  Great grades.  Respectful.  Comes from a great family.  Some college coach is going to get a great player.  Cade is still under the radar, but that will change as the season progresses.  Continued success Cade!!!

Sorry, but Cade is not in the same conversation with Reed.
