I had planned on staying home Friday, but I may have to venture out to Poplar Level for this one. 

For St. X, outside of Sivori, a player to watch to determine the outcome of the game may be Panariello. He's a player on the defensive side of the ball that DC may not have an answer for. He can rush off the edge as well drop into pass coverage. If he plays well then St. X will be in good shape.

X will get some stops, I don’t think DC can stop X.  Ultimately their depth will wear down to 2-way starters for DC.

X should control tempo and make DC work slowly down field.  The purples have Coach Wallace one of the best their is.

St. X has no two way starters and rotates multiple players on defense. Looks like Daviess has starting running back and receivers playing defense. Running back is also leading tackler.

Then one thing X needs to do is put a "helmet" on all those two way players every play on defense and double team the RB/leading tackler every play to wear him down.

Flag for targeting!  It seems the big center Blue also plays on the D-line for DC.

Are the 2 big Defensive Ends healthy?

For a big school DC should have way more kids out for football.  I will say their star RB has been out most of the year - not sure if he will play in this game.  He can house it.

I'm assuming not but not totally for sure. Meiers was hurt 1Q of Manual game so they played most all of Manual game without them.

I knew that would be the response (a non-response) which is why I put "helmet" in quotations. 

StX needs to do what they do best and that’s to run the ball, whether it’s Sivori, Walsh or Richardson. They also just got back the JR running back from an early season lower leg injury. So the depth is there to be efficient in running the ball, especially late in the game if DC has a lot of players going both ways. StX 35-14.
