I hadn't noticed but I agree in the photo it looks like it is offset about 6 inches.

I always liked playing at old Lemker in my day.  If I was on the hill that day and a lefty came up, he got virtually nothing from me over the plate.

Yep, couldn't let a lefty pull the ball. 

Today is opening day at Lemker Field.  I will be out there this afternoon as part of St. Elizabeth's effort to wrap up the landscaping, painting, etc needed.  I'll have pictures of the dedication and how it looks.

Here are the pics I took yesterday.  Field looks great.

That’s a much further shot than you think, but since they built a house next to an existing ball field, I’m assuming them lol

MUCH further. Not saying it can’t be done, but I don’t think those homeowners have anything to worry about.

A Google Maps view of the field, pre-renovation. I'd imagine a hard-pulled foul ball by a right-handed hitter is more likely to hit one of the row houses on the street than hit the building in left field.
