theguru Posted October 9, 2021 Posted October 9, 2021 Nearly 1300 yards of offense, wow! The Hogs went for two after scoring with no time left and didn't get it.
Walter Posted October 9, 2021 Posted October 9, 2021 Crazy ending and 4th qtr... Arkansas scores with 1 second left, goes for 2 and the win, incomplete pass, Ole Miss wins.
Walter Posted October 9, 2021 Posted October 9, 2021 Didn't see you started a thread already @theguru.

Ole Miss especially, looks good on offense. There may only be a handful of teams that can slow them down enough to beat them in a shootout. 1
The Raven Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 Was this a Big XII game? Were they trying to make Texas and Oklahoma feel more at home when they join? 3
Randy Parker Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 I really like going for 2 even though it didn't work.

I didn't watch the game and I would have to have to really decide on that. I mean did Arkansas have a game where they kept getting lucky and tried it again or did they get lucky once or twice throughout the game and try for a third? That's the kinda thing that is hard to properly frame in the moment but can be the difference IMO.

Really like Sam Pittman but not sure going for 2 was the right call in that situation. I understand why the decision was made. Both defenses had struggled all day. But....I think in a road game like this, you kick the XP and roll the dice in OT. 1

Exactly what I told my wife......she loved Pittman's call, I'm more conservative. Neither could stop the other. 1
