CJ All State Team

Congrats to all the guys that made it!

A big congrats to Kyle Carter 1st team all state DL! That is AWSOME!

A couple that shocked me:

Ben Revere 2nd team? He is hands down the best cover corner I ever watched in high school. That's OK he can take his full ride to Georgia and be playing in the summer:)

Ryan Smart Pulaski SW not on anything? I guess the 300 yard rushing against Boyle or the huge game to beat Danville didn't count. He had a super season in a storybook season for Pulaski SW. Congrats to that whole team and Ryan!

I'm glad Gamsky from South Oldham got some recognition. He is a flat out player!

Congrats to Clark at Russell. Kids often get snubbed in that area but he is well deserving!

This type of voting is perplexing. It reminds me of the basketball voting several years ago when Josh Carrier was Mr. Basketball, but was runner up as best player in his region to Patrick Sparks.
Brandon Stockton, not Sparks, beat out Carrier for the 4th Region's player of the year. Stockton was a junior that year and was Mr. Basketball as a senior.

Congrats to all that were chosen.

A special congratulations to David Bird from Trimble County (Honorable Mention RB) - I cannot last recall when we had someone make the list! Also, congrats to the other players from our district that made the list - Gerald Hughes and Jeffrey Guest of Danville and Josh Smith of Frankfort.

Congrats to Ammons and Newland from Franklin County and to the staff there, these two are the only 2 players to play all 4 years of highschool in that program under the Walker and Company.

Congrats to David Bird, a Jr. RB from Trimble Co on making HM. Also congrats to all the boys from the Rock, especially Brad Durham on making 1st team.

Thanks Tall Trees. Rock had another great season. You did the same. Congrats to David Bird.

Way to go South Oldham players Joe Gamsky 2nd team LB/DE and Seth Gordon -Honorable Mention RB. Both did a great job over the last 3 years.

Gamsky was an animal at LB in the game I saw him against CovCath.

It was good to see a few kids from Western on the list/

RB #24 Justin Collins

RB #8 Ronnie Dardin

DB #4 Brett Norman

I still think that we should have had a lineman on the team, between those three players 6000 yards of Offense this season/

but neverless anyone who played Western would agree that these three were very hard to handle.

Nothing for any of Mercer's secondary? Daryl Smith, Aaron Bee, Blake Arnold, and Freeman Edwards combined to make one of the best secondary teams in the state this football season.

I guess working as a unit and getting the job done is overlooked compared to working as an individual and padding your own stats. But, in the long run I am sure it was worth it to these four guys - STATE CHAMPIONSHIP. That's something they can always say they accomplished as a secondary unit. They were all four superb at the state game! All four played unselfishly and always helped each other out. Way to go guys!

I also thought Edwards and Arnold could have gotten some consideration in the HM department for DB but every other person that made it is also very deserving.
