Final from Birds Nest Stadium in Georgetown. Franklin County emphatically takes the inaugural Battle of Elkhorn Creek.

Okay FC…

Good game for the Flyers, dominated Scott, who looked like deer in headlights… FC O and D pounded on them at times.

Welp. Watch out 4A!

So....which team is the final score more of a statement about?

To me I was shocked at how rough SC looked out there. Looked like the opening of Great Crossing is catching up to them faster than expected.

I think everybody knew how good FC could be, so I’m gonna say Scott County.

I personally thought FC would win by a couple of scores.  Didn't expect it to be this one sided.

FC still sloppy at times… I think it’s a good start of course, better teams down the road.

The optics of tonight - humbling loss for SC, 48 point win for GC - could make for a long week for the Cardinals. Tonight alone won't be enough to convince me that Crossing is going to beat Scott County this year, but I agree, it appears the split has diminished the SC football program faster than anyone thought it would.

Also, Franklin County is legit, perhaps even more so than originally thought.

Very impressive what Franklin county has done recently. With that said I would never have thought SC would get pounded like this. Is the split going to cause this significant damage to the cardinal program?

Time will tell on FC, Corbin game will be. Good measuring stick for them. Facing a team with more talent for the first time when they link up, as well as a long bus ride.

Wow.
