May 28, 20215 yr I’m a gun owner. A responsible gun owner. Mass shootings get clicks. Mass shootings sell newspapers. Gun control needs to be reformed. I’ve said for years that anyone who feels the need to own a gun should be allowed to. It should be a real pain in the behind to get one though… We need to address other issues first. You’re more likely to be killed by a drunk driver than you are to be killed by a gun. Drug overdoses are killing people at a 3 to 1 rate compared to guns. If the end game is the number of deaths, we should put our efforts towards a few other things before guns.

I have been retired for almost 11 years and there were not many apps 15 years ago so I did it the old fashioned way just like inmates.

Baltimore is below 700 cops (500 short), NY is losing cops left and right. I also believe it’s a big part of the reason the housing market is so hot, people are fleeing the cities.

I talked to some of my old co-workers recently and they were very pleased with the hires they have been able to make, many fleeing from large cities with anti-cop policies. On the housing market, all I have to say is what goes up must come down.
June 2, 20215 yr Speaking of Baltimore (and many other cities) to relate it to this thread, one long term solution is definitely school choice. We have to have it to properly educate our children.

No one hates bad cops more than good cops. Additionally, in my experience, the "few" are definitely not protected at all costs and when it does happen it is normally the big city police departments where there is a history of poor leadership.
