Put aside the coaching.

Calipari has never struck me as a Lexington, KY guy... but it works. I definitely do not see Calipari as an Austin, TX guy.

Yeah, I just don't seem him playing second fiddle at a football school.

So this is smoking gun evidence? An anonymous twitter account - with a relatively small following - that @s everybody to try and get attention?

Most likely, but I am more so talking about living in Austin. I don't see Calipari getting back stage tickets for SXSW and searching for top shelf Tex-Mex.

Texas hasn’t been considered a football school in the last 10-12 years. Basketball has been the top sport there and Cal could get him a huge cowboy hat and buy a big ranch there somewhere.

I don't care if Texas went 0-12 every season the last decade, it is still a football school. To say it has been a basketball school is only speaking to on-court/field results. Which Texas basketball hasn't been any better than it's football program the past decade, imo. Going to the NCAA tournament and losing the first or second round is anything special.

My reference was directed at the last 10-12 years, my friend that lives in Austin said football was second choice among fans there and basketball was on top and baseball very popular there as well.

Your friend may be right. However, the only thing that matters is what is first choice among donors. And the big money donors view Texas as football first and everything else second.
