Will you P.M. me the winning Lotto #s for Wednesday evenings Pick 6?:D

Remember this post when UK has a bad shooting night...It will happen.

You're probably right there. I would think UL fans have to very disappointed in the program right now. Slick Rick has not been the savior he has been at other stops. Might be time to go in another direction.

I honestly don't know how some of you all enjoy anything in life, if everything in your life is so full of negativity. I certainly hope and pray that your more positive when you deal with your children. I have all the confidence in the world that the UofL program is in great hands with Coach Pitino.

I could be wrong, but the team from Lexington has had a couple of those, if Im not mistaken...

Pitino is a winner and a huge motivator! I guarantee Louisville will be getting some big upsets when the Big East rolls around!

I hope your right. Im defnitly for UL now that this game is behind us. I think with Palacios, Williams, and Padgett UL has a lot to build on up front and I really like Jenkins. But Caracter and the rest of the guards need to get better quick. I hope they do.

Here's the way I see it:

I don't like Pitino. Never have, never will. I find him to be off-putting, arrogant and basically a jerk. However, I said it when he was first hired and I still say it now: He is what the Louisville program needs/needed to help shore up the talent and return to prominence. I don't think he can coach a lick, and as far as X/O's go, I'd prefer Tubby. But Pitino is a great recruiter and he has brought in talent the last two years that simply hasn't meshed yet — mostly because of a litany of injuries, IMO — but will.

Getting the Cards back to the FF was a key, and it has helped UofL get back into the game as far as the top recruits in the country go. I look for this to continue.

I'll keep him a bit longer, because I think there are big things on the horizon. But if the next 3-4 years yields a string of NIT appearances and 1st/2nd round exits, my dislike for Pitino will be hard to mute.

If you will read the post before my last, you'll realize that I was talking about Pitino AND Tubby!!!

Pitino is a great coach there is no denying that. No one else has taken 3 different programs to the Final 4. But I do think after the Boston job it has shook his confidence a little bit. Give him a couple more years and UL will be a powerhouse.

Not a diehard card fan but... the answer is no. Rick is a great coach that has won everywhere he has been. The guys missed a bunch of open shots, how is that a coaching error? Tubby on the other hand got lucky one year and has then preceded to run one of the best programs in college sports into the ground. Rick took a team that was in terrible decline and took them to the final 4 in 4 years. Tubby won a national title with a team that had been to the final the previous two years and then hasn't been able to get back to the final 4 since. FYI, I think both of these teams stink. UofL just stunk worse today.

Tubby got lucky one year.

Should Gruden give Dungy the Lombardi Trophy back?

Should Roy W give Matt Doherty the trophy?

RP didn't make one play call that year or call one timeout.

I guess we could say UL getting to the FF two years ago was a fluke as well, considering how they had to come back and so forth.

UK will have bad shooting nights, because it isn't a very good shooting team, but neither is UL. They havent shot it very well this year, and were 3-15 from the arc versus UMass. So to think this was some unfortunate thing and totally out of the blue, no pun intended, UL is simply not a good shooting team.

Tubby got lucky one year.

Even you have to admit that Tubby walked into a great situation. One of the top programs in the NCAA at the top of their game. Two straight trips to the final. Exit Rick, enter Tubby. Thats not lucky? Since then UK has been in decline. Zero trips to the final four. They aren't the program of note in the SEC at this time.Thats Tubby's doing. If Tubby goes head to head with Billy or Mike or Roy for a recruit he doesn't stand a chance. The kids just don't want to play for him.

And in my opinion, Gruden's seat is probably plenty hot. I also bet if Roy doesn't get back to the final four for the next 8 years he'll be gone from Chapel Hill. Just stop and think... Did Tubby ever beat UK while he was at UGA? Nope. Yet both of the coaches at UGA since Tubby left have defeated UK with Tubby as the coach. That tells me Tubby aint a top teir coach.

In 96, during the regular season when KY was dominating the SEC, the closes anyone came to beating UK was Tubby and Ga. at Ga. Not a victory but a very close call. 5 or 6 points. Nearly everyone else lost by 20-30 or 40 in LSU's case.
