lcdawg4life
Is this the worst UL team that have ever step foot on Freedom Hall?? Couldnt hit a open 3 and Pitino in his conference after the game didnt even seem to care. I am a huge UK fan and glad they won but I am concerned about the state of basketball in the west. LSURock
If you could.would you trade Pitino for Tubby? Just curious because you are die hard cards fan. Not a diehard card fan but... the answer is no. Rick is a great coach that has won everywhere he has been. The guys missed a bunch of open shots, how is that a coaching error? Tubby on the other hand got lucky one year and has then preceded to run one of the best programs in college sports into the ground. Rick took a team that was in terrible decline and took them to the final 4 in 4 years. Tubby won a national title with a team that had been to the final the previous two years and then hasn't been able to get back to the final 4 since. FYI, I think both of these teams stink. UofL just stunk worse today.
RockPride
Ahhh! Then I guess we know the answer to my next question.Pitino for coach K? I think that Tubby would be great for this set of Cardinals, they need some good old fanshioned coaching, like fundamentals and such, that's never been Rick's forte. TheDeuce
Our team is struggling, we ALL know that. I don't know if some of you guys will EVER give up on trying to get us to all say we want Pitino out...Every team has bad stretches, this is ours...It will take more than one sub-par season, and a slow start to make me jump ship... 02Ram54
The team ran great offense today, played pretty good defense too. Crashed the boards, stepped in for a lot of charges (called or uncalled.) The only thing missing was the ball falling through the hoop, including for guys that have proven their ability to hit the jumper in game situations. I thought this was clearly their best effort of the year, and the only thing I'm unhappy about was the score.

I think that Pitino is a great coach and Louisville would be crazy to get rid of him!It just shows that you are true fan and that you back your coach when he wins and when he looses! I wish UK had more fans like you! If UK had lost this game the message board would be more busy with a loss than a win.:thumb:

Yes this game was much more closer than the score. It's like I said about UKs offense if they had hit some on those wide open shots then everybody says the offense looks great, but when they miss the offense looks bad! It has nothing to do with the style,it's knocking down the J.

malachicrunch
A Pitino team that can't throw it in the ocean from 6 feet is a disaster. His O is usually one the relies heavily on being able to throw it in from behind the arc. Did I hear 3 for 24 from 3 range? Wow! UK is a top 50 team (a premise of a negative UK thread) so I guess UL is top 100?

If they fall the coach is a hero if they don't he is a zero. If anybody out there has ever shot a basketball they are going to know that sometimes no matter what you do they aint gonna fall and then there times you shoot the ball and it goes in no matter what! SOme kind law of Physics!
