If this game were moved to December and all of the studs in TN played it would be good night KY most years. The amount of talent is not close.

In 2005, I believe Tennessee had 8 guys that were going to UT, including Coker. KY still won the game. Year in and out, you may be right but our football talent level has improved dramatically over the last few years. But, that particular year, Tennessee was loaded and KY won 41-27.

I am not positive on the 8 guys to UT so if I am wrong, I apologize.

Merry Christmas to the KY HS Football Fans out there.

Oh, I believe KY would win a few but I don't think you would see a run like KY had recently.

Congratulations to Williamsburg's Thomas Frazier and Aaron Root who were both nominated to play. Frazier (QB), led Class A in passing, Root broke the school record he set as a junior for tackles with 174 this year. Both are great young men and it would be super to watch them play if picked!

I thought Beatty had been approached about coaching in the game in the past?

Anyone?

Beatty has expressed no interest in coaching it and I do believe he declined the opportunity once before.

The coaches vote on who coaches the game. They nominate someone to serve as the head assistant just like they nominate kids for the team. The top coaches that are nominated are then voted on. The top vote getter serves as the head assistant that year and the head coach the next.

How are coaches decided to be on staff, as well as HC?

Head coach picks his other assisstants.........Assisstant head is voted on.

Why wait until June ?

You can't play it in April because of baseball and track. It is June or nothing for the All-Star game IMO.

The players come and stay in the Dorms at UK for about a week in June in advance to practice. You couldn't have kids missing school for a week to come to Lexington in April and UK is still in school so it would be difficult to have a free dorm for the teams to stay in.
