Kentucky Country Day 35 Crittenden County 7

Recommended Posts

For the 2nd straight year, Crittenden's season ends at KCD.

KCD led 7-0 at the half and 14-0 after three before scoring midway through the 4th. They delivered the knockout blow with 2 late interceptions for scores before Crittenden finally put points on the board with a minute remaining in the game.

Strong showing for KCD.

Very surprised by this margin and really this outcome!

Good season Rockets!  Congrats KCD!

It was one of those games that was really close and competitive until KCD went up 2 scores and got the ball back mid way through the 4th. The winner of this game was/is going to the state finals, IMO.

I am shocked as well. How does a team like Crittenden play so well against Murray and Henderson but lose by 4 TDs to KCD?   KCD did not look good yesterday at all in the finals vs Paintsville (the same Paintsville team that lost to Raceland once and almost twice)?

Would Crittenden have had a shot vs Paintsville?

Matchups are a big factor. Paintsville's run defense is one of the best in the state and KCD is a running team. Paintsville won that run game battle and that made the title game lopsided.
