St. X/Trinity soccer games this evening have been cancelled due to curfew.

No one practices till 9:00 pm though, right?

With the way the busing program works in JCPS, a 30 minute drive home isn't out of the question from school to home. Ending practice at 8:00, clearing everything off the practice field, changing out of your gear (in some schools, with no more than 10 players in the locker room at a time), and then getting on the road can create a potential issue with the curfew.

The curfew in Jefferson County right now is a bigger deal than football. I have no problem whatsoever with anyone calling off practice right now.

If I’m JCPS, I’m looking at moving this weekend's games to Saturday, with kickoffs around noon. That avoids curfew, gets an extra day of practice since today is cancelled, and hopefully sees a diffusion in potential conflict within the city.

St. Xavier has canceled all football activities for today.

Louisville Holy Cross has canceled their volleyball game and boys soccer game tonight.

DeSales has canceled soccer and football practice tonight.

I imagine it will be a scary time for any school age children in Louisville for the next few days. Hopefully I am wrong but it doesn't look good.

Reschedule any varsity football games involving JCPS schools until Sat. morning.   Start them at 10:00

Don't expect Ballard and George Rogers Clark game to be played.

Ballard has put out feelers looking for a game on Oct. 2 already to replace it.

GRC assistant put out a request today for anyone who might be available to play this weekend.

Ballard could have scheduled STX on Oct 2 back when the JCPS system announced games could be played starting on Sept 18. Now the X-T game has been moved to the 2nd and Ballard is out of luck.
