This game will feature 6A North Hardin coming to "The Farm" to take on Frederick Douglass. This game will feature 3 University of Kentucky commits. The Trojans of North Hardin and Coach Brent Thompson coming off a great 2019 season where they finished at 13-1 losing in the 6A semis against eventual State Champ Trinity. While they lost several off of their defensive line they still are looking for another big year. They have a Mr. Football candidate in Kentucky commit Lavell Wright. Wright is coming off a  2019 campaign that saw him rush for over 1800 yards and 25 TD's as well as over 550 yards receiving and 3 more touchdowns. He will get a stiff opening challenge to begin his senior season against a very good Frederick Douglass defense that has at least 5 players with D1 offers.

Frederick Douglass has had a great start to their football program. In their 3 season they have amassed a 35-5 record. Last year was their best to date. The Broncos finished 2019 at 14-1 with their only loss coming in the 5A title game vs undefeated (15-0) Covington Catholic 14-7. The Broncos did lose a national talent Walker Parks to Clemson. However the Broncos still have multiple D1 talent on both sides of the ball. This is will be the first game for new head coach Nathan McPeek. The Douglass defense which was there main stay last year only giving up 98 total points and went 29 straight quarters without allowing a point. Their defense is expected to be very good again this season with one of most athletic defensive backfields in the state. However this year the Broncos offense could be very good with two of the top receivers in the state in Kentucky commit Dekel Crowdus  and Dane Key. If new junior transfer quarterback 6'7 Samuel Cornett is what he is billed to be, this could be another special season for the Broncos.

Due to several teams cancelling games with the Douglass this game with North Hardin as well as the Nov. 6 game added with St. Xavier are definitely upgrades to the Broncos schedule. This should be a very interesting game to open the season for both teams. I'm looking forward to seeing this one.

This game might feature more future FBS talent than any other on the schedule this week. Maybe by a wide margin. A lot of future Wildcats on the field with Burton, Crowdus, Wright, and Lovett.

We think we know how good Douglass is, so this game might tell us more about North Hardin. I honestly don't know who to go with here. I'll have to give it a few days.
