Worst inning in Reds history.  Just unbelievable!!!!!!!!

Oh my gosh!!!  Put up the bats and go home!!!

First Votto embarrassed himself AGAIN in the field,, no chance at second, fielding the ball took him right into the base path, then takes a called 3rd, (for the hat trick, maybe he’ll get the golden sombrero!!) then Galvis pulls ANOTHER embarrassment by getting little leagued at the plate on a CLEAR base hit that he turned into a force out, that’s how bad it was, homeplate ump called him safe because he thought he was the runner from 2nd scoring!!!!  Didn’t think anybody could be that stupid!!!  This just defies belief guys!!!

Please bench Votto, he’s just embarrassing himself at the plate AND in the field, time to go guys!!  He just keeps embarrassing himself more and more!!  Please retire with some dignity.

Sumo and 16th, your boy is now sitting at .191.

Time to become a seller at the trade deadline, this season is done and that’s a shame with the way the starting pitching has performed, best starting staff they’ve had in a long, long time!!

Bell looked like a beaten man on the postgame, I think he knows what’s coming but to be fair he’s dug his own grave, he deserves to be fired.

Does Alan Zinter know what he is doing?

The only way he makes it through a full season, is because we're half way thru it already.  Turner Ward is probably laughing his butt off somewhere right now.  I have never seen dang near an entire team have career worsts in batting average...all in the same year!

For comparison (and because I've been bored at work today)...

Player...……..…………………..2020...………….2019...………….Career (minus '20)

Ervin...……….…………………. .091...………….. .271 ……………. .262

Suarez...…….………………… .158 …………….. .271 ………….… .265

Barnhart...…………………… .174 ……………… .231 ………….... .250

Casali………..…………………. .175 …………….. .251...……….…. .230

Votto………….…………………. .191...…………… .261 ……….…… .307

Moustakas..………………… .200 ……………… .254 ……………. .252

Galvis………..………………… .218 ………………. .260 …...………. .248

Castellanos………………… .245 ……...………. .289 ………….... .276

Winker...…….……………….. .299 ………………. .269 ………….…. .285

*TEAM*……..………...……. .203 ……………….. .244

Unbelievable.

Yes he was actually 0-4 with 4 strikeouts plus a fielding error.

Thanks for this stat I knew it was awful but had no idea that the team batting average is about to dip below the Mendoza line. I think there should be a unwritten rule that everyone talks about but if your team batting average ever falls below .200 after 25+ games the hitting coach should be fired immediately.

Other than that, he had a nice game.

Serious question. Is he usually a slow starter?

Has been somewhat the last few years. It looks like this year he's went from slow to NO this year.?

The Brewers decided to not play tonight's game vs the Reds as well in protest. The Reds agreed to not play as well and not force a forfeit situation.
