December 12, 200619 yr I think Randolph will fit in very well in the NBA. He has a pretty good mid-range game (as long as he's not shooting FT's) and he has good touch around the basket. His only problem is that he's probably not athletic enough to play the 4 in the league...
December 12, 200619 yr I agree Morris would rather play in the NBA over UK, he's already proven that, problem was there were no takers. What I don't get is how an NBA GM can watch him play and think 1st round talent. He will be hard pressed to be 1st team all SEC. Hopefully I am wrong, I would like to see Morris succed at the next level, but I don't think you can coach desire. He often gets outplayed by lesser talented opponets. He need to get over what has happened in past years with him. Just because in the first two years he allowed players that aren't that good do good on him doesn't me he is still that way. He has not looked like the same person at all this year, and has improved in every part of his game this year including the foul trouble. He is a much better player this year and it is showing...

Once again that was his first two years, he has not been that same Morris this year. He has developled some more offensive moves this year, and actually has gotten better at rebounding, blocking shots and not getting in foul trouble. This year against Florida he will do better than usual against them, but still might not be that great because they have 2 studs down low and we only have him. But this year against LSU I look for him to win his matchup with Davis. Davis does not have Thomas this year to come off the ball to block Morris's shot. So now with that sweet little turn around jumper Morris has he will be able to shoot over the shorter Davis just about all game. You just got to realize what he did the first 2 years dont mean anything, because players do improve and he has done that...
December 12, 200619 yr And it's making this more of a story... Yeah I know and it does make it a story worth atleast talking about, but as I said I just dont see him leaving. I think this team is going to end up being a pretty good team this year, and I dont see him leaving the team in the middle of the year when he is the star of the team and playing all the time, just to go and sit on the bench and play very little. When he could just wait to as soon as the season is over to make the jump to the NBA...One thing is for sure I dont think we will see Morris back next year though for his senior season, so Tubby better start looking for even another center in the recruiting front...

Im sure they have improved too, and as I said for atleast against UF I think he will do better than normally against them but still will have a tough time since they have 2 really good big guys. But as for against Davis I like the matchup this year for him. Morris will be over to shoot over him all game, the thing that Morris would have to do though is make sure he stays out of foul trouble, and so far this year he has shown he is learning not to make stupid fouls...
December 12, 200619 yr I have been on here dogging Morris myself for his lack of effort, but Saturday at the Indiana game I must of said it 5 times man we wouldn't be very good without Morris. He has improved greatly, but there still is room for more. I wouldn't be suprised if he leaves at the end of the season. As for Noah and Davis they have a little more help down low than Randolph.
December 12, 200619 yr I'm not saying it won't happen, the NBA has left me scratching my head before (Reynaldo Balkman) and I'm sure it won't be the last time. I just think in this case it would be stupid. IMO Morris will never have much impact on the league. If he had the drive to succed at the next level, he would already be there and wouldn't have already been passed over twice by every team. You can throw the Balkman draft pick out the window. It was made by Isiah Thomas who has repeatedly proven that he is, in fact, clinically insane.....
