Bama's coaching search?

Bama contacted me earlier in the day about the job, but I quickly had to pull my name from consideration because I didn't feel it would have been a good situation for me at this time...:D

  Any chance of you taking the U.K. "D" coordinator job?:D We desperately need one.

I for one and for Bama's sake I certainly hope not, the Hal "D"umme system complete with no running game and NO defense.

As opposed to the current (well, ex-) Alabama situation where you hope and pray to win 10-7? I wouldn't dismiss Leach just yet.

 Well I see my self as being more of a offensive minded coach, but hey I wouldn't mind taking taking a stab at running the defense. I mean from looking at the ranking of the defense it could only go up from where they are at now if I was coaching... :thumb:

I agree with KY on the choices, but I've been researching Coach Greg Schiano and he seems like he turned Rutgers around, so he knows what he is doing, but I have no say in the matter. Now my right arm is killing me and my family hasn't seen me. I sit here on the PC...No food, no water, no bath, no sleep, no sugar,...we were 10-0 instead of 9-0 last year. Our team was not moving forward and there were too many signs, so we had to make the move.

Coach Bobby Petrino is only mentioned by Fans, (so is Paul) thanks to me they understand that he is not coming. Nick Saban was their first pick, but he keeps winning at Miami and there was no $5 million offer, and he has told us NO!, but we still bring him up. Mike Leach is not a choice. They mention a lot of folks and believe this...There was a thread about Coach Brooks. Ok..time to rest my arm. I'm going over there for a few hours. Here is the site if you wanna check us out its free...Tidefans.com/ Tidesports.com (fans are meaner on here)

Is this getting embarrassing for Alabama yet?

I think if it hasnt then its real close. But I dont blame people for staying away when its such an insecure job. But who knows maybe such stern leadership will bring Bama back to the glory days.

If Kentucky can get Brooks, Bama can get anyone:thumb:  ,

Chris Mortenson on ESPN just reported that it aint over between Saban and Bama. Mort and Tony Kornheiser reorted that the deal Saban turned down was more like 6 million with everything included. If this mess isn't cleared up by the end of the NFL season, look out SEC, Coach Saban may be back.

ESPN, ESPN News, ESPN PTI, ESPN Breraking News all said Coach Rich Rod was coming to Alabama. Right now ESPN is a dirty word in Bama. They also gave the mis quote of Nick Saban's $5 Million. They were real upset about that. They wanted darth Visor and if they were gonna pay that kind of money, he would have been offered it.

:thumb: ESPN wants to break a story so bad they don't wait on the facts  :irked: , I will never post anything they report again untill it is an absolute.

Schiano @ Rutgers

Grobe @ Wake Forest

Johnson @ Navy

Kragthorpe @ Tulsa

Ault @ Nevada

Glenn @ Wyoming

Cubit @ Western Michigan

Leach @ Texas Tech

and my fave...

Tedford @ Cal

The only place that man is going is to THE Pennsylvania State University

when Joe Pa leaves....mark that down

I had a gentleman from the great state of Alabama in my office yesterday and he was telling me that Johnson from Navy and Leach from Texas Tech is the two that he was hearing right at the moment. Surprisingly, Petrino's ties with Auburn would probably knock him out this job. Spurrier's name was mentioned but don't think he is interested. I think that Alabama seems to think that they still have a shot at Saban once the NFL season is over.

OLD...That was a good one....JD, the DC or the OC coach who took over when Coach Joe Pa broke his leg is the next coach at Penn State. His last name is Clark. For the guy who had the Bama guy in his office. Paul Johnson is mentioned a lot by the Fans. You can forget Mike Leach. Right now...I have no idea, but as each day goes by the list grows and grows. This list is the one by the Fans.
