It landed them a 39-12 loss last year. And then next week they ended up on the wrong side of a 28-16 game against Newport after beating Newport 37-7 in the regular season.

Exactly my thoughts. That's tough game for Lloyd before the playoffs.

Anyone from Erlanger-Elsmere in the know want to speak on the e-mail just distributed from Superintendent Chad Molley? I'd imagine there's not a lot of happy sports parents in that area this evening. 😞

"Erlanger-Elsmere Schools will not be practicing or competing in KHSAA high-contact fall sports until we can do so responsibly and safely."

"We will continue to allow our fall sports to conduct sessions using the KHSAA Segment 3 guidance..."

Pay no attention to the fact that these athletes have been working out for weeks now with no problems. How do you ignore those facts? How can you allow the students to continue to engage in their sport but not allow them to compete in games? Yes, that is right. He says they can keep practicing but they can't play in games. This may be the most illogical thought process I have seen yet in this crisis.  

If the decision stands, Lloyd forfeits a lot of games and many students are arbitrarily deprived of once in a lifetime opportunities.
