Well, Bellevue officially gave the go-ahead for fall sports last week. Newport Independent's supt. officially gave his approval for fall sports today. Covington Independent's superintendent had spoken to the KHSAA's Board of Control about how "several superintendents up this way will probably meet with their boards about not participating"...but Holmes is going ahead and playing. It sounds like Chad Molley is the lone wolf out there who actually went ahead and cancelled fall sports. And he's not just the lone wolf in northern Kentucky, he's the lone wolf in the state.

Wonder if Supt. Molley is feeling kind of lonely right now.

Technically, he didn't cancel, correct?  He just delayed until the kids are back in school in a couple weeks.

Supt. Molley didn't cancel, no. My understanding is that conditioning is still allowed in 10-person pods. He didn't establish in-person school as the benchmark for starting back to high-contact fall sports. His words were, "Erlanger-Elsmere Schools will not be practicing or competing in KHSAA high-contact fall sports until we can do so responsibly and safely."

So whenever Molley determines "responsibly and safely" is achievable, that's when Lloyd can get back to playing football.
