January 12, 20206 yr Announcers made a good point earlier. The Titans have basically been in playoff mode for the last third of the season, if not longer. He’s had them up to the task. The deal with the intentional penalties, just to run time off against Belichek was a Baller move last week. He's zoned in right now.
January 12, 20206 yr Definitely some validation to the opinions that two weeks off was not good for the Ravens.
January 12, 20206 yr Weeks ago I was certain that it would be a 49er's/Ravens Super Bowl... guess not.
January 12, 20206 yr This must be real hard to swallow for Ravens fans considering the season they've had.
January 12, 20206 yr Author Jackson now throws a interception. Maybe tomorrow’s games will be better than these two today.
January 12, 20206 yr The Titans stopped Jackson for a second time on 4th down at the Titans 15 yard line. Then go right back and score a touchdown aided by a 66 yard run by Henry. They now lead the Ravens 21-6. Is Jim Harbaugh coaching the Ravens tonight? Harbaugh coaching like his brother tonight...:taz: Harbaugh has been going for it on 4th down all year. No reason to change what they have done all season now. If they changed how they played tonight from what they did all year and lost people would question why they weren’t going for it on 4th like they did all year. At the end of the day the Titans are just playing great. This offense is hard to stop, and takes a lot of focus and discipline. Which come playoff time players are probably a lot more focused and study even more and prepare even more to get ready for this game, than they do in the regular season before playing this offense.

Completely agree about going for it. That’s what they do. Just seems like the play calls have been more vanilla on 4th down tonight than usual, maybe not though. The Titans have played like it means more to them, IMO.

I have no issue going for it, just give your guys a chance with better play calling.
January 12, 20206 yr 8 for 8 on 4th and 1 this year. 0 for 2 tonight. Lamar 6 INTs this year. 2 tonight.
January 12, 20206 yr I thought it was a mistake going for it the first time. It was 14-6. The second time going for it was the right call.

My guess it was having Lamar run, since it gives an extra blocker and he is so hard to stop. I honestly kind of blame Lamar on those two runs though. The first one if he stays on the path and not cut back he gets it. Then I seriously doubt they called a QB sneak that tells Lamar to be under center and try to run far right with the sneak. It was probably a normal qb sneak call, and I believe Lamar just in both cases was trying to do to much. Which the majority of the time it works because he is so darn good. Tonight the Titans just have done a great job being discipline and in the right spots.
January 12, 20206 yr Wasn’t Baltimore down by a lot last year in the playoffs too, before making a huge comeback and almost pulling off the comeback? This game could end up being very similar if the Ravens score this drive.
