Titans/Ravens Updates

Featured Replies

I have no idea what they usually did on fourth downs. My guess it was having Lamar run, since it gives an extra blocker and he is so hard to stop.

I honestly kind of blame Lamar on those two runs though. The first one if he stays on the path and not cut back he gets it. Then I seriously doubt they called a QB sneak that tells Lamar to be under center and try to run far right with the sneak. It was probably a normal qb sneak call, and I believe Lamar just in both cases was trying to do to much. Which the majority of the time it works because he is so darn good. Tonight the Titans just have done a great job being discipline and in the right spots.

You realize I am not one of the former Lamar haters you love to argue with right? He is a stud, but doesn’t mean someone can’t say he may have messed up and possibly tried to do to much. Come on man you are better than that.

They cut this to 14, we have a game again.

Wasn’t Baltimore down by a lot last year in the playoffs too, before making a huge comeback and almost pulling off the comeback?

This game could end up being very similar if the Ravens score this drive.

Here they come!

Please explain how he was trying to “do too much” on the second 4th down and how it was his fault they didn’t get it? Keeping in mind, the entire offensive line was pushed into the backfield on the snap.

It won't be easy, but there is a chance...plenty of time left to get 2 TDs.

Now that I would question his decision to go for two there.

Touchdown Ravens two point conversion failed. The Titans lead 28-12 with 11:04 to play. I still like the Titans chances.

I still like the Titans chances because they can run the ball with Henry. So far tonight he’s averaging almost 8 yards a carry.

You questioned the play call. He took off way to the right as soon as the ball was snapped on a qb sneak, which QBs never do. It wasn’t like he tried to go forward and realized the line got blown back, he took off way to the right as soon as he got the snap. So yes that to me is him deciding that on his own and trying to do to much. Which if he tries to go forward on the snap it does open up on the left, which he tries to then go all the way back left and then it closes.

But it’s ok man. I know people can never say Lamar maybe messed up or tried to do to much. So I won’t say anything else.

Lamar has messed up plenty. Forcing throws, not protecting the ball in the pocket... Trying to get a 4th down conversion when the middle was clearly congested is a strange hill to die on. Should he have just fallen down?

Momentum is a funny thing in sports. It’s amazing sometimes what one td can do to turn a game around. A defense that looks beat, all of a sudden starts getting stops and so on.

If he even attempted even a little to go forward on the snap to realize it could be clogged I would get what you are saying. He took off way to the right as soon as he got the snap before anything happened up front. Especially on 4th and inches not a yard but inches. Trying to run horizontal as soon as you get the snap on a called qb sneak just isn’t smart, and well considering it didn’t work kind of supports that. Which is why I was defending the play call. A qb sneak on 4th and inches is not a bad call. Who knows that maybe that is a type of play that they do practice, where he basically tries to run a sneak outside as soon as he gets the snap. I doubt it, but maybe they do.
