I just got back from River Valley and am surprised to see that Ironton failed to heed the warning and, instead, manhandled Ashland. Nonetheless, I salute GIAT for his loyalty. He has stuck to his guns although I do notice that his usual "supporting cast" has disappeared. Maybe they'll be back if Ashland beats Boyd County.

I think that these type threads will diminish in a few weeks when Ashland's record is about 2-8. They are going to have alot of trouble with some of their upcoming opponents.

Ashland will lose to Mason, Magoffin, Belfry or Boyd, at least one or two in the AIT, and probably another in the Country Music tourney.

Ya know, those nights are going to happen. You cant score 83 points everynight, or any night if you ask Russell. But everyone should realize that most nights we will score anywhere from 50-80, some games may fall under and some over. Everyone is still getting adjusted, but I feel the sky is the limit. :thumb:

Hey, I "asked Russell" and they estimated they would score between 40 and 90 points a game, and Duck said if Russell didnt average more points per game than Ashland, he would TATOO "I love giat" on his forehead!!!!

My prediction is that after Russell plays two games, they will indeed be ahead of Ashland in "THE SCORING RACE"

Ashland fans are starting to sound like UK fans. This loss meant nothing blah blah blah. This has to be the first time I have heard an Ashland fan not upset over a loss. I think that speaks volumes about the Ashland program.

Magoffin Co. has beat Betsy Layne, Jackson City and Prestonsburg.

Hard to understand how they only scored 44. But then again I couldn't believe West held Morgan to 29. Whodathunkit? Ashland IMO is a middle of the region team like most and could make a serious run if the chips fell right!

Actually the ran it all night long on Offense. They shot 31% instead of 62%. Makes a difference. Style of play was the same execution was not. Ironton was the better team last night plain and simple. I agree with Rickyp you are never that bad after a loss or that good after a win. Long season ahead. :walk:
