Its hard to compare common opponents or get a true opinion of a team this early in the season. All I know is that the team is enjoying our new coach and so are the fans. Im sure this season will have its highs and lows but overall Ashland basketball is in a better position with Buddy Biggs. Ashland will absolutely contend in the 16th this season.

I'll have to admit - Ashland is definately a top 10 team in the 16th region.

I think that these type threads will diminish in a few weeks when Ashland's record is about 2-8. They are going to have alot of trouble with some of their upcoming opponents.

Region championships arent won in December. Say what you like but there is a lot of optimism for our basketball team regardless of tonights game. I know my enthusiasm has not diminished. :thumb:

I'm sure you weren't disappointed at all tonight.

Are the fans enjoying 44 point outputs?

Ya know, those nights are going to happen. You cant score 83 points everynight, or any night if you ask Russell. But everyone should realize that most nights we will score anywhere from 50-80, some games may fall under and some over. Everyone is still getting adjusted, but I feel the sky is the limit. :thumb:

I'm able to sit back and look at the big picture. Of course I would have liked to win, but this game meant nothing in the district, no one was injured, and it shows us some things we need to work on. There are things to be gained from a loss.....

50-80 huh? That is a pretty good range. I think that UK will probably average anywhere between 20-100 this season. Come on.

Yeah, 50-80. If this was last season I would have guessed 30-55. My prediction could probably be a little closer but my crystal ball is in the shop. :thumb: And I dont think UK will get near 100.

What game does mean anything in the district? No one was injured? Is that the new measuring stick.

I think the lesson to be learned is that your neither as good as you look sometimes or as bad as you look other times. Basketball is a long season with many ups and downs. The uphoria over the Rock Hill game was not logical nor is the death announcements after the Ironton loss.

Luckily, I don't think Ashland will get anywhere close to 80, either.

Rickyp I can always count on you to bring us all words of wisdom and enlighten our path to proper internet high school sports discussion. :D

Umm ok. But we've already cracked once. :thumb: And 50 points is plenty enough to win games in the 16th region sometimes.

I could score 80 and Rock Hole or whatever that team was called.

Well someone has to be the voice of reason. If is has to be me then we are in more trouble that could have ever been imagined.
