Okay 6-5 every year since Elson has taken over. They are still trying to live off the Nat. title. They might want to move on.

He doesnt have the arm strength for UK but it is a shame that EKU isnt going after him. EKU's staff has made it clear that they want FL players that Florida, Florida State, Miami, South Florida, etc. and even Jacksonville State in their own conference dont want. Ammons would be an excellent addition for any Div-1AA teams in state

 

EKU is a joke. I know another kid that they are over looking in Kentucky. That is okay Hope and Company will be gone after next season.

I agree EKU is a huge joke, they are not even professional or nice to the kids they should be recruiting, they have been dishonest a time or two I know for a fact. After seeing them play I know several kids around that could help them.

You are correct. I have witnessed their dishonesty first hand. I would not let any kid of mine go to EKU.

It would be great to see Ammons throwng the ball to Bovard(another KY overlooked product) from Cov. Cath. the next few years at Georgetown.

If's he's being overlooked that much and he has the grades, I know a DIII school south of Lexington who wouldn't mind giving him a shot:D

What most coaches don't understand about Ammons is that he is a 3 sport athlete? If the football coaches hold off too long, he will most likely be signed in the spring with baseball. I saw him play last year a couple of times and he starts off slow but by the end of the baseball season, he is as tough an out as anyone in the state.

 

Quite frankly, I think Georgetown should offer him right away. I know he can play at Georgetown and the kid is academic-oriented.

That being said, does it seem odd to all of you who call all the area colleges crazy that they all seem to be in consensus with one-another in not offering? I mean, if Georgetown or such had offered and everyone else was turning up their noses, I would understand, but people, NO ONE is offering, which means they're seeing something that seems to run true for the desired transition to the college game.

I think his height limits him as QB at the division 1 level,but he is a football player that played QB. He would be a very good DB has a great nose for the ball, and I can't believe he hasn't been offered by someone yet.

 

How tall is he? Does he have the frame to allow growth? I only ask because I've never seen this young man play.

If I study any kid long enough you are going to find a flaw. Bottom line is can the kid make plays? Is he a winner? Can he be coached?

 

I love when a college coach says your player doesn't use his hands well. Thats a cop-out, I respond by give me a film on your team and I find a slap that isn't doing something enough

Cynical, I played at a 1aa school that did not give scholarships and I played with about 300 other kids who on a regular basis over 5 years lined up and whipped numerous div. 1aa schools that didnt offer us a scholarship. That means that a bunch of people who seen something didn't know much about what they were doing or looking at. That is what I am saying maybe there is something they see, but they are more times than not wrong.

Georgetown has signed and benefitted from many kids that the bigger schools in the state continue to overlook. They are loaded with young talent right now.

When I think of Kaelin Ammons, 2 athletes come to mind that went elsewhere and everyone in KY said "how did the get away from us?"do the names

I had heard that Antoine Robinson was going to play at EKU next year. Is that untrue?
