How bad was Bryant Gumble?

Recommended Posts

Bryant was abysmal -- awful.

I like Cris, but if I'm a Raven fan, he would've drove me crazy. He was as big a homer as I've heard on a National Broadcast. That being said, it didn't bother me at all.

I agree, but Gumble kept bringing it up as well.

There were a couple of times I noticed Cris being a bit homer-ish, but I can't imagine how hard it must be living here, and seeing and hearing and not leaning one way or another.

Agreed...but that is why they make millions of dollars a year right? Because it's hard? Not being flippant, but jobs that get paid that way should be hard, and the folks with those jobs should be able to pull it off.

Do you not remember the Alamo Bowl last year between NU and Michigan, with Mike Tirico announcing? I don't know if it was homerism, but every other word out of his mouth condemed NU and praised Michigan. Last play of the game: "Nebraska" is out on the field. "Nebraska" should be penalized and "Michigan" should be given another play. Did he have his eyes closed or something? There were just as many UM players on the field as there were NU. It made me sick to listen to him call that game. He went on the WHOLE time about how great Michigan was. But they obviously weren't great enough.

I'm 99.9% sure he lives around Detroit.

Ann Arbor.

Mike Tirico traces his educational background back to his teenage days at Bayside High School in Queens, New York. At Bayside, Tirico was an active member of the golf team. He currently resides in the college town of Ann Arbor, Michigan and is a frequent spectator of the Michigan State Spartans and Michigan Wolverines sports teams.
