October 11, 20197 yr Impressive win by the Patriots. Their point differential is now 142. For comparison, by the end of week 6 in 2007 the Patriots had a 133 point differential. Although both are phenomenal, the 2007 Patriot point differential is more impressive considering they played much better teams. The 2007 Parriots beat the 11-5 Chargers, 38-14, the 10-6 Browns 34-17, and most impressively, the 13-3 Cowboys 48-27. The best team the Patriots have beat this year was the 4-1 Bills 16-10. But one thing's for certain; the Patriots are considerably better than last year and are undoubtedly the best team in the NFL this year.
October 11, 20197 yr The Patriots Defense, at least in regards to fantasy football, has been unreal this year.
October 11, 20197 yr Outside of Buffalo, who can’t score, their opponents have a combined 3-22 record. And they get the Jets next week. I’m not ready to crown them the top team in the league just yet.

I’m not ready to crown them the top team in the league just yet. I am fine having them at the top, because I am not sure who I would put ahead of them. That said, I do not think they are some kind of next level juggernaut, but rather beneficiaries of the league's easiest schedule/division. Around the mid-point of the season the competition does stiffen, but to end the year they get Bengals, Bills, and Dolphins.

October 11, 20197 yr The way the schedule broke for them - playing the AFC East six times, the NFC East teams, and the AFC North, it's like a perfect storm of scheduling. Out of all those, your truly tough opponents are Dallas, Baltimore, Philly somewhat, and that's it. Playing the Giants, Washington, the Jets twice, and Dolphins twice..... those are literally six free wins this year. The win over Pittsburgh was impressive though.
October 11, 20197 yr As old as Brady is, I do not understand him doing these QB sneaks for Touchdowns. One was from the two yard line. You don't need the hits. Sony wants a TD every once in a while.

The Jets, Bills, and Dolphins are virtual locks every season. This is no joke, the second best quarterback to be in the AFC East since Brady has been in New England has been Chad Pennington. I dare anyone to find another QB with any semblance of sustained success since 2001. Granted, that says more about those franchises, but still. Pennington's last meaningful action was 11 years ago and he retired in 2010.
October 11, 20197 yr 5 game stretch of at Ravens, at Eagles, Cowboys, at Texans, Chiefs. And defensively the Browns could give them a go in two weeks.
October 19, 20196 yr Impressive win by the Patriots. Their point differential is now 142. For comparison, by the end of week 6 in 2007 the Patriots had a 133 point differential. The Giants didnt have Saquon Barkley, Evan Engram, Wayne Gallman or Sterling Shepherd. A win is a win, but the fact that the Giants were in this game until late was surprising.
