October 1, 20197 yr For an NFL record 11th time the Bengals have opened a season 0-4. I don't have the list of those 0-4 seasons in front of me, but it brings up the question: Is this the most discouraging 0-4 start and Bengals history? Is there any other season besides those that you were more discouraged than you are now about the Bengals' prospects four games into a season?

October 2, 20197 yr I'm wondering if I can vend on Sunday with a brown paper bag over my head. LOVE IT!! I said last night worst since the 90’s and worse than some of those teams, just like the little Dutch Boy, you just don’t know which hole to stick your finger in!!! Just getting physically whipped then add in the mental screw ups and you get 0-4, I’m optimistic about my Bengs every year since ‘68 but I just don’t see this getting any better this year!!
October 2, 20197 yr It is not just the 0 - 4 start but the teams they lost too. Seattle is mediocre at best. The 49ers are about the same. Buffalo is the best team they have played and they will be lucky to make the playoffs and the Steelers are stinkin it up just slightly less than the Bengals.
October 2, 20197 yr The Shula years were a tough pill to swallow. Those had Mikey boy's fingerprints all over them. So if I had to pick from the list above, I'd say the 93 and 94 seasons.

Before the Bengals played the Steelers last night. The record of the teams the Bengals lost to before the Steelers is 10 and 2. With the 49ers still undefeated.
