Danville currently has 790 wins in the books, and this is their 96th football season.

Mayfield currently has 892 wins in the books, and this is their 101st football season.

Highlands currently has 896 wins in the books, and this is their 105th football season.

Paducah-Tilghman currently has 787 wins in the books, and this is their 116th football season.

Male currently has 894 wins in the books, and this is their 127th football season.

Owensboro currently has 747 wins in the books, and this is their 127th football season.

I looked but couldn't find any information on wins for Henry Clay, Holmes, Lafayette, Manual, Newport, Paris, Somerset, St. Xavier, and Trinity (I know Trinity only dates back to 1953-54...but still, yeah). I know Bellevue and Dayton are among the older football programs in northern Kentucky as well.

I might be wrong but I’m pretty sure Tilghman broke the 800th win in 2021

The KHSAA list is not up to date. Paducah Tilghman definitely has over 800 wins, and Mayfield started the season with 937.

Boyle County now stands at 499-221-7. (68.5 winning percentage)

Per the KHSAA record book, Mayfield had 907 wins at the end of the 2020 season. Then the Cardinals were 12-2 in 2021 and they were 14-1 in 2022, which means according to the KHSAA's numbers, Mayfield started the season with 933 wins this year. Their current 4-1 record from the 2023 season puts them at 937 wins. I'm assuming that's what you meant? If not, the KHSAA record book reflects the verified data they have been given by the individual schools, so if their numbers for Mayfield are incorrect, that's on Mayfield to get them the correct info.

It totally happens...I've done it myself plentyyyyyy of times. A thread pops up, I read the first couple of posts, and without thinking to look at the dates of the original posts I'm like, "Wait, CHUCK SMITH is a head coach again?!?!" ??

Ok, I didn't realize the age of the thread either, wow. And I stand corrected, we started the season with 933. Good looking out. ?

I meannnn, if you wanna do a little number extrapolation and prognosticatin'...

Highlands is in their 109th season and have a winning percentage of 76.3%. They have 925 wins in 109 seasons.

Cov Cath is in their 57th season. Their current wining percentage is 63.8%, and that includes their early years. Due to program longevity, Highlands has had significantly more time to enjoy the success of their program in the post-early growing pain years than Cov Cath's football program has. Obviously most (if not all) teams need a little bit of time to find their foothold and pick up some steam. So if you allow for that, call it 40 years ago, after their first 17 seasons, Cov Cath's winning percentage in the last 40 seasons (1984-present) has been 70.2%. Average games played per season in the last 40 years is 12.95...call it 13 games per season. So if you figure in 52 more seasons for Cov Cath to bring them to an equivalent number with Highlands, and 13 games per season, that adds in 676 more games. Figure in a 70.2% rate of winning, that gives you 676 x 0.702 = 474.552 wins. So 438 current wins, plus a (VERY hypothetical) 475 wins in the next 52 seasons, by the time Cov Cath also hits 109 seasons of football, statistical averages and all that fun mumbo-jumbo could very easily put the Colonels at 438 + 475 = 913 total wins. I'd take it. ?

Going by the numbers at the beginning of this thread, Somerset would now be 739-427, .634.

Beechwood does not have 500 wins? That is surprising.

There is another surprising fact I noticed from your link. Beechwood has the third most championships with 14 but never had an undefeated season.

Beechwood has had 5 undefeated seasons!

1984, 1991, 1994, 1999, and 2021
