Did these funds come through Dr. Lynn or did they come through JCPS or a combination thereof?

It looks like they're just starting to do the inlays in the playing surface. They have the yard lines and hash marks inlayed, and the end zones, center field logo, and yardline numbers are going next. I saw a rendering from the Ballard - 2021 Schedule thread that also showed text inlayed in the playing surface for the field dedication, Dr. Mark & Cindy Lynn.

Once that all gets wrapped up, the crew will put in the infill material (the little black rubber granules), and then they're good to go.

After switching their season opener from a home game to an away game at Hoptown this Friday, I'd say all looks great for the first home game on the new field in the new stadium on September 3rd against South Oldham.

From reading THIS article, the Lynn family's donation was made to cover the cost of two cycles for the field...so the initial installation of the field and then the replacement of the playing surface. It also mentions a $150K donation from the Ballard Alumni Association, and $2 Million spent by JCPS.

Much, much better. Obviously.
