The 56-60 Reds, in 4th place of the NL Central 7 games back of those darn Cubs (but only 5 games back of the second Wild Card spot), travel to Washington DC to take on the second place in the NL East Nationals (62-55). The Reds had their chances against the Cubs, but ended up splitting their home series over this past weekend. The Nationals lost 2 out of 3 from the hot Mets.

 

I'm just glad to be back with the big club again! I wish the Wednesday match-up was in prime time!

BGP is hoping for the same or better production from minor league call up @nkypete that the Reds are getting from Aquino.

Garrett has started his 8 game suspension. I was shocked to hear that you could not replace him on the roster. Man short for the next 8 games.

I asked someone about that this weekend. I though suspensions didnt count against the 25 man roster too.

I’ve said that all year!! Next year?? When you’re CONSTANTLY getting people thrown out at the plate by 10-15 feet you need to be replaced now!! Except for our pitching coach, who has done a great job, our staff has hurt us a lot more this year than they’ve helped, just bad decision after bad decision!!

Phillip Ervin leafs off the 9th with a hr to make it 7-5.
