June 22, 20197 yr Best part about Dietrich being hit 3 times, and the last one intentionally, is he’s scored each time he’s been hit. Heck, hit him a 4th time. Hit 5 times in two games and scored 4 times!
June 22, 20197 yr I have played a lot of sports in my lifetime but one thing I will never understand. Garret comes in and strikes out the first two hitters and then walks the next to left handed batters on eight straight pitches. Dude, you are a professional!!
June 22, 20197 yr Hit 5 times in two games and scored 4 times! No Red had ever been hit three times in a game.

It would have been great to read some of your analysis, with all you sports experience you have when the Reds stretched their two run lead to a five run lead.
June 22, 20197 yr I'm of the opinion that Joey is done. He just doesn't produce anymore. I'm hoping he proves me wrong, but he's not even close to the player he was. I'm hoping he's a proud man, and won't try to play out his contract. I’ll agree with you on that.

He also missed giving up a three run Home Run that was just foul that you never mentioned. You got me, I have never played or watched a game in my life. :)

You got me, I have never played or watched a game in my life. :) Never said you didnt play or watch a game. I do wish you'd use that experience and not be so negative all the time. But neither of us will change. Why mention a foul ball? Sure. It could have went fair but it didnt. Team is hot as ever and we get complaints about a guy that gets through an inning with 3 strikeouts and giving up zero runs.
June 22, 20197 yr Reds stay in the winner's bracket in the Metro (sorry, out of towners will not get that one) ... 11-7 final. Castillo gets the start tomorrow.

So walking two straight batters on eight pitches after striking out two, for the team you root for, on a five game winning streak does not bother you? I guess you are just a lot more laid back fan than I am.

I guess you are just a lot more laid back fan than I am. In that situation I'd rather the pitcher go ahead and be careful after getting behind in the count than groove a strike right over the plate. No reason to throw a 2-0 or 3-0 fastball with a huge lead, try to get them to swing or hit your pitch. If they walk, go to work on the next guy and try not to get behind right off of the bat. Complaining about that inning is like complaing about giving up back to back 1st downs due to penalties and still forcing a punt, in the end the defense (or Pitcher in this case) did what they needed to do to stop the opponent.

He is also human.

Would I have preferred he didnt give up the two walks, sure. But yeah I guess I am more laid back because it didnt matter since it didnt even lead to a run for the Brewers.
