FC Cincinnati 3 Portland 0 (MLS)

Featured Replies

Is anyone else watching? FCC's first home opener in the MLS and they're currently leading 3-0 in the 75th minute.

This has been a hell of a fun match ti watch.

It's airing on FS1 for those interested in watching.

Only place it was on down here was Fox Sports Deportes. Who got the red card?

Larrys Mabiala went out on a second yellow either shortly before or shortly after the second goal.

That was a great first MLS win for the team...and at their home opener. Gotta keep the momentum going!

It was on channel 219 (FS1) on DirecTV. I watched the second half.

Was so much fun working this one. Love FCC fans. What a result too!

I love working these games along side MJ. The atmosphere at these games are something to experience. It blows all other sporting events in Cincinnati out of the water. If you live near Cincinnati and haven't been to one, you need to check it out. You will not regret it.

Watching the videos of the fans marching the streets of Clifton to get into the stadium is pretty nuts.

Why oh why do they need a new stadium with an atmosphere like that at Nippert? I know...I know...it was mandated by MLS. I think the new stadium is too small if attendance is going to be like that.

I am with you @nkypete. I don't know how UC folks would feel about FCC permanently staying at Nippert. I sure wish they could have from my biased perspective.

The new stadium may be all pretty and slick when it's built, but I'm not sure that it will fit "Cincinnati". What happened Sunday - the march of the fans and the atmosphere inside Nippert - that's Futbol in Cincinnati. Fancy decor, architecture and sky boxes don't necessarily make for a home field advantage. There's no doubt that Nippert, like it was on Sunday, presents a huge home field advantage for FCC.
