If USC wins out it will be USC, but if USC losses a game. Then we will see a rematch unfortunately...

I agree I didnt think the loser of this game should get a chance in this BCS championship. But after seeing todays game that changed my mind.

We've went over this in the obit thread. Bo has remained a part of that program for many years, and spoke to the team the night before the game. Beloved is a very appropriate word to describe him.

Read the thread about Bo's passing. Many UM fans, and others, thought before the game it would "fire up" the team, and help them. If that was the case, yet another reason a rematch might not be as good a game.

Michigan lost to the number 1 ranked team in the nation by three. USC lost to an unranked team by three also. How can you say michigan is not the better of these two teams.

Its pretty easy because for 1 USC and UM haven't played against each other, so we have no clue who is better. Secondly USC has played alot harder schedule and if they win out they definitely deserve a chance to play OSU for the title. UM had their chance at OSU but didn't get it done...

 

But dont worry if USC loses then most likely it will be a rematch for the title, but if USC wins out then they definitely deserve to get their shot at OSU...

OSU turned it over 3 times, twice on bad snaps, once an int on a tipped ball. I don't recall UM turning it over at all, but I'm not sure. I think UM had all the stars lined up for them, and they still couldn't get it done.

And Michigan had several uncharacteristic mental lapses that cost them just as big...

I would like to see a rematch, but only if Rutgers loses a game. If the Scarlet Knights go undefeated in the Big East, a BCS conference, they should play for the national championship. If the run the course and get overlooked, the Big East should leave the BCS. No point in staying involved w/ something that overlooks a team that, if still unbeaten, will have knocked off 2 top 10 schools in U of L and WVU.

I don't. I think alot of fans will come away disappointed from the rematch if there is a rematch...

:thumb: :thumb: I agree, I am 100% Ohio State football fan and love beating Michigan but imo Bo was Michigan football, he was loved by ALL true college football fans including most Ohio St. fans I believe. I know that I had a very hig respect and opinion of the man.

After thinking on this one for a while I voted no, they had their chance. My reason being that in one way this was a national semi final game bc the winner was going to the title game. Although this was a great game the Buckeyes won and proved they were better on the field. For Mich. to get into the title game now would mean that USC, Fla., Ark., N.D. would have to fall and these four play vs. one or the other in the coming weeks which would amount to the other semi fianl. JMO (this is a very good question though).

Let's just say for arguements sake that USC loses to California, then beats Notre Dame. Arkansas loses to LSU, then beats Florida in the SEC Title game. Rutgers loses to either UC or WVU. If all of this were to happen, and there is a rematch in the Fiesta Bowl, and Michigan beats Ohio State by 3 or less. Who is voted the National Champion?
