If they want to give out a trophy for ending #1, what do you think will be done with it. What are your thoughts on the numerous teams that claim championships from years ago? Right now, that's where the AP has returned...

 

I would be willing to say that if the AP did crown someone else as their National Championship that most people in the country and the media would be calling it a split Championship year, even though it just wouldn't be in your eyes...

Maybe it's just the impetus needed to blow up the BCS system, which has shown itself to not work very well.

You know there's no chance of that. Money talks, and dropping the system isn't going to happen...
