oldrambler Posted February 14, 2019 Posted February 14, 2019 UT is riding high at #1 and unbeaten in conference, the Vols roll into Rupp on Sat. night to face U.K., now with two conference loses and reeling from losing to LSU on Tues.. Should the Cats lose making them 3 conference loses and UT remain unbeaten, a three game deficit in the SEC will be tough to come back from, providing where we're at in the season. Does U.K. rebound, come out with the win in what would take their best game played of the season or does UT widen their SEC lead ?
oldrambler Posted February 14, 2019 Author Posted February 14, 2019 Sorry, I forgot to add a poll. Could a mod please add one ? Thank you.
oldrambler Posted February 14, 2019 Author Posted February 14, 2019 After the loss earlier this week, Kentucky has to have this one to imo keep any hopes of another conference championship. I think that the Cats will come out ready and take hand the Vols an L. U.K. by 5.
MJAlltheWay24 Posted February 14, 2019 Posted February 14, 2019 Need to put two solid halves together. Seems like they haven't done that the last couple games.
MJAlltheWay24 Posted February 14, 2019 Posted February 14, 2019 Also, I sure hope PJ doesn't pick up any dumb fouls like he has the last couple games. Gonna need him to keep being a warrior.
nkypete Posted February 14, 2019 Posted February 14, 2019 Cats bounce back with a solid effort and win by 8.
doomer Posted February 15, 2019 Posted February 15, 2019 Will be interesting to see if the refs let Williams run over people on the way to the basket and draw fouls as they have practically every other game the vols have played.
The Double Deuce Posted February 15, 2019 Posted February 15, 2019 UK by double-digits. I think UK mauls them on the offensive glass, has a trough-full of 2nd chance points, and wins this one convincingly. The result on Monday will be a nation of knee-jerk reactions on both sides, that UK is all that, and that UT may have been over-rated. It will be funny to watch, honestly.

Officials will become public tomorrow morning, but the crew that is working is very good.
doomer Posted February 15, 2019 Posted February 15, 2019 Officials will become public tomorrow morning, but the crew that is working is very good. Then I'm hopeful. Williams is a great player, and very strong, but it is not unusual for him to shoot more free throws himself than the entire opponent. And, it's one thing to let him bully around the basket, but to allow it, AND call a foul on the opponent for merely existing is ridiculous. BTW, I loathe and despise ut (small letters on purpose) if one can't tell.
UKMustangFan Posted February 15, 2019 Posted February 15, 2019 I think Kentucky wins, but they come out with the same effort as Tuesday and they'll get run off their own floor.
Randy Parker Posted February 15, 2019 Posted February 15, 2019 Vols 76 Cats 71 That's about what I'm thinking.
jvdfc Posted February 15, 2019 Posted February 15, 2019 Hagans has to be a threat to score and get in the paint Saturday. Nick Richards has to at least contribute too. These things happen and the Cats come ready to battle they will prevail by about 5 IMO. Go Cats!
