Give Futurecoach all the props as he calls the Browno's upsetting the Chiefs. With KC's loss and Denver falling last night, the Bengals are sitting in the catbird seat. They are IN and have a strong conference record. Add in the fact that they sit with the opportunity to beat Denver and further cement their chances.

 

Jets, Bengals, Jacksonville, Denver and Kansas City all stand at 7-5. Bolded would be the present WC entries to my knowledge.

 

Denver 7-3 in the AFC.

Bengals 5-3 in the AFC.

Jets 5-4 in the AFC.

Kansas City 3-5 in the AFC.

Jacksonville 4-4 in the AFC.

 

Denver goes TO SAN DIEGO this week.

Bengals of course host Oakland.

Jets host Buffalo.

Chiefs host Baltimore.

Jacksonville host Colts.

Also the Bengals would be the 5 seed and the Jets would be the 6 seed. Since KC beat Denver they have the edge over them, and that knocks Denver to last out of the 7 and 5 teams right now. Then we beat KC so we have it over them, and we have one of the best conference records right now. Then the Jets have the second best conference record that is why they are the 6 seed. I got all this from watchin sportscenter last night and from espn.com

 

I know the teams I am rooting for this week are of course the Bengals, but also go San Diego, go Buffalo, go Kansas City, and Indy. I know before last week I thought it would be better if Baltimore beat KC, but now with KC's lost to the Browns and with KC's tough schedule remaining, and finally since we have all the tiebreakers over them. I would rather KC beat Baltimore and hopefully we beat the Raiders and so this way we are only one game back in the division and still leading the wild card...

I don't like it that they put it in that form. The highest seed left after the wild card round plays the number 1 seed. It's not a true tournamnet bracket like they have it.

I know b/c the Chiefs right now have the head to head advantage on the Broncos, but their AFC record isn't that great. Who cares what happens if it ends right now? It doesn't. The Bengals go 10-6 they're in. If they go 9-7 they better beat the Broncos and hope for help.
