We are due a good bowl game, right? I think we will see why Lawrence was regarded as one of the top QB prospects ever. Dude looks special. Bama tries to get too cute for my liking.

Kid is a phenomenal talent. As calm and poised as he is, I sometimes forget he's a freshman.

Subbing in of Hurts, putting Tua our wide, throwing when they could run every possession, etc. They are so much more talented than the field (sans Clemson) it doesn’t show. Also may just be Bama fatigue for me :D

Roll Tide!

I don't know who will win, but they may be playing in front of a bunch of empty seats. Levi Stadium is a long way from South Carolina and Alabama and evidence suggests that San Franciscans have no interest in attending the game. Based on the ratings of the semi-finals, this may be the lowest rated Championship Game of any era, BCS or CFP.

Ticket prices on the secondary market for Monday’s college football national title game are cratering – get-in prices hit $150 Tuesday on StubHub and experts say it should continue to drop. By comparison, last year’s get-in price peaked at about $1,700.

“Prices are trending lower than we have ever seen before,” SeatGeek.com’s Chris Leyden told Yahoo Sports. “Demand is down.”

And that’s just part of it. The semifinal games weren’t competitive and delivered comparatively low television ratings.

The system was again clumsy, staging the semifinals on Dec. 29 while continuing to cede prime New Year’s Day slots to lesser games run by private bowls. Things are so rough, even normally staid power brokers are lobbying for an eight-team playoff to shake things up.

About the only thing everyone can agree on – and this is no small thing – is that the two best teams are facing off on Monday. Unbeaten 2018 champion Alabama vs. unbeaten 2017 champion Clemson. It’s their fourth consecutive playoff encounter, third in the title game.

“This is clearly the two best teams,” Clemson coach Dabo Swinney said. “I mean, this is the way it should be.”

And yet, in what may be the ultimate embarrassment, the game could be played in front of empty seats at Levi Stadium.

That isn’t the way it should be.

The rest is here Why CFP title-game tickets are crashing, and what it means

Why is the game in San Francisco anyway? That's the biggest reason for lower ticket prices, IMO.

I think this game is going to be incredibly close and is decided by 3 points or less. I tend to think Bama wins, but is certainly going to come down to the last drive one way or the other.

To take @GrantNKY 's post above one step further, I think if everyone was draft eligible, you'd have the first two QB's off the board in this game.

Clemson 31-27.

Alabama with a running clock in the 2nd Quarter.

They should play it in Atlanta.

Sarcasm font?

Yes sir. BOLD Sarcasm Font. :D

I think you’d probably have the first 2 players off the board period if Lawrence and Tua were eligible.

Clemson 32

Alabama 17

Alabama looked great against a horrible Oklahoma defense.... for one quarter. Clemson defense will get to Tua, those easy slants won’t be so easy vs a real defense.

Alabama’s secondary will not be able to hang with the Clemson WRs. ETN will break free. Minds will be blown. Bama is number 2.

Being Auburn fan, I despise Alabama, but I think Alabama wins. South Carolina QB threw for 500 yds on Clemson, so Tua should have good game.

B1G officiating crew, probably take them a while to catch up with the size, speed and strength of the players at Clemson and Alabama.
