Top 5? Interesting, not disagreeing or agreeing but watching him in the game vs. Cooper I saw nothing that made me go “wow”. Don’t get me wrong, he’s very good but top 5 players have the ability to take over a game and dominate regardless of opponent IMO.

I think Allen from Pendleton County only had 10 points against Cooper.

Again, nothing against the young man, as he is good and a good spot up shooter just don’t know if he’s in the top 5 but I’ve only seen him in one game and maybe he was dominant vs the other opponents.

Congrats to BW on a huge win. Clearly thought the Camels would win this one.

I've seen him play several times, I'm in total agreement with your assessment.

I understand Allen left the game in the first half with an injury, if you're comparing Druad and Allen you're out in left field. LOL

I wasn’t. I Was just saying that you can’t look at what a player does against a team like Cooper.

Just to make sure I was clear. I was referring to the rankings in the sophomore class of 2021. Most Rankings have him in the top 5 or 6 currently in the state. I believe we as spectators have become way to critical of size when kids are still growing at a rapid rate.

You have me totally confused, he is sophomore now. What ranking currently have him at 5/6 in state.

I understood you were referencing him as a sophomore. Again, he is a good player but when I look back at players such as CVH, Sean McNeil and Adam Kunkle when they were sophomores Draud is not there yet. I agree that in another year or two when his body fills out and his game becomes more aggressive he could be there.

I wish him the best as he continues to develop.

Back to the game. The charge call could probably have went either way and the home team will get that call more times than not. The guy who took the charge though was 13, CJ Brannen, who also hit the bucket to put them up 65-64. He is a heady player.

The problem with the prep hoops ranking is the coach for his club team the Mustangs does them.

Scotty Draud is not 6'5"! Looks to me tops at 6'1". Smooth player that shoots well when he gets his feet set. Weights and structered diet is going to serve his future well. Knows the game and makes smart plays.

After video review there clearly wasn’t a charge. Also it wasn’t Baugh who took the “so called” charge. It was #13. Beechwood should send the ref who called it a Christmas present.

Go to the 3:05 mark in this game and tell me what you think about the charging call.

Actually he has never played a single game for MATTS Mustangs. He played AAU with Louisville Magic last summer.

He's not 6'5", but he's definitely taller than 6'1".
