I think this will be a good game for 2 1/2 quarters. 21-13 or 27-13 heading into end of third or early 4th and then MC starts busting big plays.

The key to winning this Friday night is to stay focus on the task at hand and play your butts off.:D If Mercer Co. does what it suppose to do, they will move on. Good luck Titans.

LaRue's only two losses were to Western, the team ranked highly on the AA BGP pole and Bardstown who was a class A powerhouse this year. What happened to the hawks in these two outings? Did they lose the game or did the other teams win the games? This game should be fun for they players and fans.

If it is I think I will be there.

Head on over to Danville at halftime!:thumb:

I have added a poll to the thread.

I think I am going to go against everyone and say Larue will win this one by two points.

LC - 21

MC - 19

Larue wins 21-20...I couldn't resist. On a serious note Larue almost always upsets someone in the playoffs they are not supposed to. They are solid in the playoffs, and if I can offer Mercer any advice is not to buy into the blowout scenario and finish. Do not get comfortable with a 14-0 or 20-0 lead and think...lets set the cruise control because the coaches at Larue will keep their team fighting until the last tick...trust me I know from first-hand experience!!!!

Jackson, Ford speedsters were added, along with several very experienced & very talented players. As for Griffith, he RARELY if ever runs the ball.

Griffin stepped in last year after Scheller (Senior) had a ACL MCL tear that had him out after game 5. But up to that point he and Walker carried the ball most of the time. Both had around 800+ yards at game 5. Too bad a healthy Mercer team could not have finsihed last year to see how far they really could have went. 3 senior starters with ACL injuries. But that's football for you. Always a what if. Walker and Scheller both started defense and offense. ALthough I don't think you can compare the teams and shouldn't.

Trust me, neither the Mercer players nor the Mercer coaches will let up for one second.

Any compairson of this years Mercer team and last years is moot. They are twice the team (no merger pun intended) than they were last year. I don't see the Titans skipping a beat between now and Papa Johns.

Thanks for the compliment Daddy. We've enjoyed the rivalry with The Juggs and Newport. Good luck in your new district. :thumb:

I just think that once it starts it will just keep rolling, nobody can stop their running game but they can stop anybodys.

SPEED KILLS or in this case goes 15-0 and wins a state title. :thumb:
