Is Dak Prescott the Cowboys’ Franchise Quarterback?

Featured Replies

It wasnt you but I remember someone in 2016 saying he was a top 10 qb. You are right he benefited from a great line and running game. Same kind of thing I stated when me and you discussed Elliott when you stated he was the best in the nfl. He benefitted from that same great line.

Elliott though unlike Dak is a very good running back and that o line made him look unstoppable. Dak is a bad to average qb and that line made him look good.

Zeke is averaging 4.6 yards a carry vs 5.1 so he's still playing at a high level.

No doubt. That is why I said he is still very good. He may not be the best RB in the league as some were saying that year. However he is very good and one of the best.

I’m a die hard cowboys fan but the only way for Dak to have a chance at success is for Jerry to get rid of Garrett and Linehan.

That still may not help him though. If I was Jerry I’d go after Sam Bradford. At this point it wouldn’t hurt anything besides Dak’s feelings.

Not sure if Dak is the answer or not, but Garrett and Linehan are definitely not part of a winning equation. Coach Clapper seems as unmotivating as they come, and Linehan has the most predictable offense in league history.

On Monday night Dallas was in decent position to get in the NFC race. After Monday's performance and looking ahead to their next few games, Dallas may nosedive into next season.

Being a Dallas Cowboys fan has been so frustrating the past 10-15 years. Mostly I get aggravated at our game plans and thought process. When Zeke carry's the ball more than 20 times I would be willing to bet they win 75% percent of the time, when he doesn't they lose. Agree with everyone on here that Dak is an average QB but he is a great competitor. Sometimes we run Dak and sometimes we don't like Monday night, that is just mind boggling to me. I would think that Dak has to play a lot like Cam Newton but he does not. These coaches are an embarrassment to the organization, and Jerry Jones has to do something about it.

1. Go all in for Josh McDaniel from Pats, he is creative and has a great offensive mind

2. Get a QB in offseason, not going to happen, but wishful thinking

3. Pick up one more WR in FA

If they sign Dak to a mega deal we are looking at 8-10 more years of struggling football no matter who takes over.

Tom Brady

I'd put all of those guys ahead of Dak....That puts him at 24th best QB at best in the league? Yikes. Dallas can do better.

83 three hundred yard passers, Dak isn't one of them.

Of those not mentioned by UKMF...

Eli Manning (3)

Case Keenum (3)

Blake Bortles (3)

Joe Flacco (2)

Sam Darnold (1)

Only Josh Rosen, Ryan Tannehill and Josh Allen are left with no 300 yard passing games.

Why Sam Bradford? He probably is the highest paid most overrated NFL QB of all time for someone who literally has never done anything in the NFL.

What other quarterbacks are available? I’d be fine if Prescott has gradually progressed since his rookie year but he hasn’t.

Did the Bengals trade Marvin Lewis to the Cowboys while I wasn't looking?

He’s just too inconsistent. He can make and has made some great throws and plays, but he’s as likely to take a terrible sack or miss somebody that’s wide open. You never know what it’s gokng to be, but too often it’s not good enough. This game against Philly, Dallas ought to be up 2 or 3 touchdowns considering how Zeke

and the defense have played.
