November 7, 200619 yr $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Does a lot to persuade your decisions. Then he best start acting like he wants $$$$$$$$ and not act disinterested. Although the cash is there and a team can pick him up right away, I have a hard time believing with the perforamces he has exhibited thus far would an NBA team, mid-season, call up Randolph Morris.... in this instance, the NBA team is done for anyways.
November 7, 200619 yr Im sorry but no way, if anything have Stevenson at the 4 and have Morris at the 5. Morris would have to hard of a time guarding playing who move out on the perimeter, while Stevenson is athletic enough to where he probably could go out there and stick another teams 4 better... You could play Morris on the other teams center if you wanted to. So he could play the 4 on offense and gaurd the center on defense.:thumb:

November 7, 200619 yr I was at the game and first of RM did not get a ton of PT. I kept looking at my friend saying "why isn't Morris playing?" He did commit some dumb fouls early, but it didn't seem like he was in much of the second half either. He will be fine. I was blown away by Stevenson. How this kid isn't going to start at the 4 is beyond me. Every single defensive trip, he is looking for position to make a block. You can watch the play develop half the time. His O needs work, but he can board, dunk, and has some serious D. Only frosh that did not impress me was Porter. He didn't look comfortable on the floor. Also, Jules Camera in attendance tonight that was kinda cool. Wonder what he is up to?
November 7, 200619 yr Unfortunately for Cat fans, Morris does not play any defense. He has an awesome block in the first half. Challenged a guy going to the hole and pined it up against the backboard.

He definately doesn't look comfortable on the offensive end which sie xpected at this point in time.. but defensively he has been VERY impressive IMO.

Before I go any further.. yes I have been hard on him from the start i'll admit it. But yes the offensive side of the floor yes. He had the ball stolen from him a few times. Porter might be a great kid and a decent athlete, I just think its time for Tubby to stick to the kids who belong at UK. We have suffered enough from the 2003 class. BUT... in my opinion Tubby was paying back an old debt with Porter. So it was worth it.
November 7, 200619 yr The first group didn't look too good with the exception of Crawford. Bradley making poor choices, and Morris looks lazy, and disinterested, but the second group of guys looked amazing, especially Stevenson, he will be awfully fun to watch. I also like the Porter kid he's tough nosed.

First of all I was only 5 off the floor for the first game and he impressed me alot. Then what I watched last night, he impressed me even some more. Secondly Tubby Smith even said in the postgame show about how the guards for that team is alot quicker than most guards they will play against this year. I believe one of the guards has set a record for them in steals as well...If you look at Jasper he had 5 turnovers on stupid passes that first game this year against Lindsey Wilson...I think as I said before its just a case that we have heard alot more about the other 3 guys coming in this year, and that the other 3 have looked so good already that it kind of takes away from Porter. But I know I have been impressed very much with Porter, and I willing to say that after awhile that I bet you will start to like Porter to and see that you should be here at UK...
November 8, 200619 yr But Morris CAN be a force when he wants to. He just needs to get pumped up for every game like he did against Cincinnati in the NCAA last year. There's no reason he can't do that, but it's up to him.
