He is obviously very athletic and SHOULD be able to help us some this year, but he still has a lot to prove. We will findout a lot about him the 1st time we play a big phhysical frontline IMO. I do however feel pretty confident about Jasper and Meeks. I think both will be very effective all year for us.

However, he is good at help defense, rebounding, and being physical at only 205 lbs. I am not saying he will be an All-American this year. I am saying, IMHO, that he may be the best option at Power Forward. He is better than Thomas except for the experience factor. That is a big factor, though. He may not start, but, I think he will get the majority of the minutes at that position.

November 9, 200619 yr Ive not been a big Sheray Thomas fan, but he looks a lot more athletic this year. Also Tubby said hes been playing better than anyone in practice. Now thats a little hard to believe, but it did come from Tubby. I actually think he will be much improved this year. Lord knows theres a lot of room for improvement.

I'm going to wait to see him against some real big bodies before I rush to judgement... He will probably get pushed around by some wide bodies, this year. Another 15 to 20 lbs. next year, I think, will be a different story. I do think he can still snatch some rebounds against some of the big boys(N. Carolina, Indiana, Louisville, Florida, LSU, Alabama, Arkansas, Tennessee, Depaul, possibly UCLA.)

However, he's got "post this guy up" written all over him defensively.

But to compare him to Tyrus Thomas is laughable... You didnt watch the first. I will stand by that. You believe there is no comparison in the way Stevenson gets off the floor and his timing? Thomas wasnt a great offensive guy, and Perry is still far from him there. I know you dont like to agree, but its tough to say you cant see any resemblance on D.
